Instamatch365 app: what the 365 in the name means, and why it is not a newer version
· checked by Nandita Chakrapani
People who search for the Instamatch365 app are usually looking for the same thing as everyone searching for the Instamatch app — the exchange's app, to bet and to move money. The "365" makes it look like a different or newer product. It is neither, and knowing why saves you from installing two apps where one is enough.

Is Instamatch365 a different app from Instamatch?
Not as far as anyone outside the operator can tell. The brand is reached through several web addresses, and 365 is part of one of them, just as 99 is part of another. When a person copies an address into a search, the number travels with it, and "Instamatch365 app" becomes a search of its own. The product behind the addresses is one exchange.
There is one useful thing about the 365 spelling: nobody else uses it. The dating app in the Play Store is called plain "Instamatch", so a search with 365 in it is almost always about the exchange. That makes it cleaner than the bare name — but it still does not tell you which file is genuine.

Why the number never tells you the version
An Android app has a version string, and it lives in one place: open Settings, tap Apps, pick the app, and scroll its info screen to the end. It looks like 3.8.0 or 12.4. It never looks like 365 or 99.
So if a page offers an "Instamatch 365 app, new version", read that as "an app from a page with 365 in its address". The version is whatever App info says after installation, and nothing in the title can change it.

When two apps on your phone carry the name
This happens more often than people expect: one app installed from a page with 99 in the address, a second from a page with 365, both with similar icons. Before you deposit through either, find out what you actually have.
- 1Open Settings → Apps and look for every entry with the name.
- 2Open each one's App info. Compare the version strings and, on phones that show it, the package name at the bottom.
- 3If they are the same package with different versions, the phone has one app, not two — the list is showing the same entry.
- 4If they are two different packages, you have two separate apps. Keep the one you checked, remove the other, and do not move money through an app you cannot account for.
Removing an app deletes whatever it kept on the phone, but not your ID or balance, which live with the operator.

Signing in on the 365 app
Searches for the Instamatch365 app login mostly come from people who have installed the app and are looking at its first screen. That screen belongs to the app, and it is worth one careful look. It should ask for your ID and password or send you a code, and nothing else. A password goes only into the app you installed and checked yourself — never into a chat window, never to a person who says they will "log you in".
If the first screen asks for a payment to open your ID, or for a code to be read out to someone, close the app. Nothing about a 365 in the name changes that rule.

Which address the app talks to is not ours to name
Apps like this fetch their pages from the operator's servers, and the address they use can change without an update. We do not name any address as the working one, and we are not in a position to. What you can check is on your own phone: the app you installed, the version it shows, and what its first screen asks for. The file route and the install steps.
