About this guide: an outside look at the apps that carry the Instamatch name, written for the moment before a deposit

· checked by Imtiaz Nagarwala

This site answers one question in several forms: is the app in front of me the one I should trust with money? It is written by people who are not Instamatch, do not work for it, and have never been given its files. That is the point. The brand cannot write a page telling you that a dating app shares its name in the Play Store, or that a PDF on a document site is not its publisher. Someone outside it can.

A closed plain paper notebook with a dark cloth cover lying on a dark polished wooden desk, a smartphone lying face down beside it, a brass magnifying loupe resting on the cover and a pen laid diagonally across the notebook.

What we do

We read what an ordinary phone shows: a store listing, a download bar, an installer prompt, a permissions screen, App info, the first screen of an app. We write down what each of those can tell you and where each one runs out. Every check on these pages can be repeated by a reader on their own phone in a few minutes, without an account or a tool.

How the site is paid for

There is one commercial link on the site, on the header button and on the bonus page. It goes to a betting lobby that is not Instamatch, and we are paid when people who follow it sign up and play there. That lobby's welcome pack is set out in full on the bonus page, with its clocks and limits. The link does not change what we write about any app, and we tell you about it here rather than hiding it.
